ABOUT ELIZABETH

I’ve been the small business owner staring at a screen thinking “where do I even start?”

That experience – overwhelming, expensive, and time-consuming – is exactly why I built The Website Empire the way I did. I’ve been on your side of the table. I know what it actually feels like.

WHERE THIS STARTED

In 2015, I got my first
website built.
It was not a great
experience.

I was a small business owner. I had no idea what to ask for, no idea what was reasonable, and no idea why it cost as much as it did. The process was opaque, the communication was patchy, and the end result didn’t really reflect my business.

I knew there had to be a better way. So I learned how to build websites properly, not just technically, but strategically. How to ask the right questions. How to structure a site so it actually performs. How to make the process feel like a collaboration rather than a transaction.

The Website Empire launched out of that frustration and a genuine belief that small business owners deserve better than what I experienced.

“I’ve been on your side of the table. I know what the overwhelm feels like, what the time pressure feels like, and what it’s like to hand over a significant investment and hope for the best.”

BEFORE WEB DESIGN

16 years in the
corporate world
taught me how to
actually work with
people.

My corporate career wasn’t in tech, it was in client management, coaching, and facilitation. In my last role, I managed $6 billion dollars worth of business relationships. The skill that made that possible wasn’t technical knowledge. It was listening, asking the right questions, and understanding what people actually needed, not just what they asked for.

That background is what makes the way I work different. I’m not just building websites. I’m running a consultative process that starts with your business goals and works backwards to what your website needs to do.

My coaching and facilitation experience means I’m also very good at drawing out what you want to say, even when you’re not sure how to say it. Most clients are surprised at how straightforward the process feels.

HOW I WORK

Consultative, no-
fuss and genuinely
invested
in your outcome.

I love meeting people and building real working relationships. Most of my clients come from referrals which tells me something about what the experience feels like from the other side.

I over-deliver because I can.

Being a boutique studio means your project gets my full attention, not a junior team member, not a template, not a production line. Every site I build is considered from the ground up.

And honestly? I love the creative part.

The moment a site starts to come together visually, when the strategy and the structure suddenly become something that looks and feels right, that’s the part I never get tired of.

Consultative by nature

I ask questions first and design second. My coaching background means I’m good at drawing out what you actually need even when you’re not sure how to articulate it.

No hand-holding required

You don’t need to come prepared with a brief or a vision. I’ll guide the process from start to finish. You just need to show up to the conversation.

Boutique by choice
I take on a maximum of two clients a month. Not because I can’t handle more because every project deserves my full attention, and that’s what I’m known for delivering.

Invested in your results
I set benchmarks, I track outcomes, and I’ll hold you accountable to the things that matter. Your success is what I measure mine against.

YES EMPIRE IS A BIG WORD

For a deliberately,
small operation.

The name raises eyebrows. I know. But building something that lasts – for my clients and
for myself – has always been the goal. That takes care, attention, and a refusal to scale
beyond what I can do well.

Two clients a month means every project gets everything I have. That’s the model.
That’s the promise.

WHAT CLIENT’S SAY

“Professional, knowledgeable, tenacious, creative and relentless in the best way. Every business needs an Elizabeth. Except our competition.”

National eCommerce, Melbourne

“What surprised me most was how little I needed to hand over. Elizabeth just got it. An absolute pleasure to work with, and the first person I’d call again.”
